Our Approach

The INaWORD methodology – a unique approach

  • Multi-disciplinary approach, with due emphasis on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
  • Classes conducted using the target language – English is used only when required.
  • Highly interactive classes with plenty of opportunity to converse.
  • Small groups that allow a teacher to cater to the individual needs of each student.
  • Lively and innovative classroom material with extensive use of audio-visual aids.
  • A functional approach using role-plays in real-life situations.
  • Pressure-free environment – learning is fun.

How is INaWORD different?

  • Small groups (average size of each batch – 10 to 15) helps personalize courses, build confidence in students and provides innumerable opportunities for all to participate actively.
  • We often adapt, innovate and modify our syllabus and teaching methodology to incorporate newer elements that enhance the learning experience.
  • We foster creativity and innovation in our methods, making for interesting, lively classes. Authentic documents like songs, films, video clips are used to expose learners to the target language as used by native speakers.
  • In our FLAIR and AFFINITY programmes, the levels are of relatively short duration, giving students flexibility as long-term commitments are sometimes difficult to make.
  • The importance given to group and pair work, the teacher is more a guide and facilitator rather than only a disseminator of knowledge.
  • Cross-cultural inputs – we provide insights into the native culture of the countries in which the language is spoken.
