Spanish in India+
In recent years, there has been a significant spurt in investments in India by Spanish companies, with companies like Navantia, Dragados, Gamesa, Gropo Antolin, Zara, Grupo Roca and Mapfre having entered the Indian market.
The recent boost in bilateral trade with Latin America (USD 50 billion in 2022) because of the economic resurgence of both regions has given a further fillip to importance of the Spanish language.
Another trend that has emerged is the outsourcing of work in the BPO space to India, from overseas businesses that require the use of Spanish as the language of communication to cater to their customers
Spanish at INaWORD+
INaWORD has been offering Spanish classes in Chennai since 2002, and the Spanish program at INaWORD has grown rapidly to become one of the main languages on offer. We have Spanish language courses at different levels:
INaWORD FLAIR program for individuals: these courses are conducted across levels, from the basic A1 to the advanced C1, and are popular across a diverse set of learners, from school and college students to entrepreneurs and working professionals.
INaWORD AFFINITY program for corporates: Specifically designed for Companies that have working relationships with clients or principals in Spanish-speaking countries, the Affinity Spanish courses are business-oriented, and emphasize conversational Spanish skills.
INaWORD Junior courses: for schoolchildren who need curriculum-related assistance with Spanish as a second language in school. The Junior programs are typically available in one-on-one or one-on-two formats.
We align our Spanish language courses to the international DELE (Diploma Espanol como Lengua Extranjera or Diploma in Spanish as a foreign language) certification standard, and are able to prepare our learners for the international DELE examinations at different levels.
In 2011, INaWORD was appointed by the Instituto Cervantes (representing the Ministry of Education, Spain) as the exclusive DELE examination Centre for Chennai, in recognition of our status as the premier Spanish institute in Chennai, and we have been successfully conducting the DELE exams every year in November ever since.
